Q: The customer's account recovery keeps getting cancelled because they are using their trusted device. They don't want to power it off. What do I do?

Q: The customer is being told the email address they are trying to use is already in use. It is not currently in use by any other Apple ID. Why is this happening?
A: If an email address was used as the Apple ID name on an Apple ID, then it will not be able to be used as the as the Apple ID name on another Apple ID for 30 days. This information is outlined in SOP: Handling Apple ID Issues.
